JST SH-Style Cable for Micro Metal Gearmotor Encoders, 6-Pin, Single-Ended Female, 30cm

Overview

This cable is designed to work with the encoders on our Micro Metal Gearmotors, which are also available separately with top-entry connector and with side-entry connector. It consists of six 28 AWG colour-coded wires that are terminated on one end by a female JST SH-type connector.

The other ends of the wires are unterminated and can be cut to match the length of your application. You can use our male or female crimp pins and crimp connector housings to make a connector for the unterminated end of the cable that is compatible with standard solderless breadboards, perfboards, 0.1″ male headers, and 0.1″ female headers.

Use with Micro Metal Gearmotor Encoders

When used with our encoders, the wire colour scheme is as follows:

Cable colour	Function
Red	motor power M1 (“+” terminal)
Black	motor power M2 (other terminal)
Blue	encoder Vcc (2.7 V to 18 V)
Yellow	encoder channel A output
White	encoder channel B output
Green	encoder GND
