Stepper Motor - 29 oz.in (200 steps/rev, Threaded Shaft)

This unique NEMA 15 stepper motor features a 100mm threaded shaft that converts rotation into precise linear motion at 1cm per five revolutions (0.01mm per step).

Description

Most stepper motors spin, requiring you to build complex belt or gear systems to move things back and forth. This motor simplifies everything by integrating a 100mm threaded shaft directly into the rotor. This turns the motor into a precise linear actuator right out of the box.

As the motor spins, the threaded shaft drives a nut (or your custom carriage) along its length. The pitch is designed so that five complete rotations equal exactly 1cm of linear travel. Since this is a 200-step motor, it offers a theoretical resolution of 0.01mm per step, making it an exceptional choice for precision X/Y tables, camera focus rails, or automated pipetting systems.

Compact NEMA 15 Form Factor

This motor fits the less standard but beneficial NEMA 15 form factor. This makes it slightly smaller than the ubiquitous NEMA 17, making it perfect for designs that need significant torque (29 oz.in) but are tight on space.

Critical Wiring Note: The datasheet for this motor has a known error regarding the wire colors. Do not blindly follow the datasheet colors. When connecting this motor to a bipolar driver, please wire it strictly according to the Wiring Diagram in the documents section below to ensure correct phase connection.
