If you are building a 3D printer, a CNC machine, or a precision camera slider, you need a motor that fits the standard. This is a classic NEMA 17 Bipolar stepper motor, the most popular form factor for hobbyists and light industrial motion control.
While it looks standard on the outside, this motor is an excellent balance of power and efficiency. It offers 32 oz.in (2.3 kg-cm) of holding torque, providing plenty of strength to move gantries, extrude filament, or turn gears.
This motor divides a full rotation into 200 distinct steps (1.8° per step). This high resolution enables incredibly smooth, accurate positioning, especially when paired with a microstepping driver.
One of the standout features of this specific model is its low current draw. Rated at just 0.33A, it runs cooler than many high-current NEMA 17s and is incredibly easy to drive. It is fully compatible with standard drivers such as the SparkFun EasyDriver, Big Easy Driver, or the TMC2209 found on the PD Stepper.
To make integration easier, the motor features a standard 5mm drive shaft with a machined flat, ensuring it works with the vast majority of pulleys, couplers, and gears on the market. It also comes with an extended 1200mm 4-wire cable pre-attached, giving you the reach you need for larger machine frames without soldering extensions.
