Description

The REV Robotics Smart Robot Servo is a configurable metal-geared servo that can function as a standard angular, custom-limit angular, or continuous-rotation actuator all via simple programming with the optional REV SRS Programmer. The smart servo takes conventional PWM input and adds the ability to set travel limits or unlock continuous spinning, reducing the need for mechanical adapters or permanent modifications.

Out of the box it behaves like a 270° positional servo, accepting 500 µs to 2500 µs pulses; the SRS Programmer enables custom angular ranges up to 280°, or conversion to continuous rotation mode. At 6 V nominal, the SRS offers 13.5 kg-cm (187.8 oz-in) stall torque with a speed of approximately 0.14 s per 60°, drawing up to 2 A at stall. It operates from 4.8 V to 7.4 V and uses durable metal gearing and a standard 25-tooth spline, with M3 tapped mounting options.

Compact at 40.2 × 20 × 38 mm and weighing 2.05 oz, the SRS includes a horn assortment and mounting hardware, making it ready for integration into robotics mechanisms where precision, reconfigurability, and robustness are needed.
