A no-contact, low-voltage 125kHz RFID reader module supporting ASCII, Wiegand26, and Magnetic ABA Track2 serial data formats at a range of 18cm.
RFID (radio-frequency identification) is the wireless non-contact use of radio-frequency electromagnetic fields for the purposes of identifying and tracking tags attached to objects. With this ID-20LA RFID Reader module from ID Innovations, you can read standard 125kHz tags and cards at a range of 180mm to bring wireless identification to your next project! Simply power the module, present a compatible card, and the ID-20LA outputs a clean serial string containing the card's unique ID. The module will handle all of the complex RF decoding internally, so all your microcontroller needs to do is listen for incoming serial data.
Despite its small footprint, this module is highly adaptable to different hardware setups and communication standards.

Please be aware that this module features a 2mm pin spacing, which is slightly tighter than standard 0.1-inch breadboard spacing. We offer multiple breakouts designed exclusively for connecting to ID Innovations RFID modules (see the right-hand column or the Similar Items section below for options). With the exception of a pin, the ID-20LA is functionally compatible with the older ID-20 RFID module, but has a lower input voltage.
With its broad data-format compatibility and energy-efficient design, this module provides a reliable way to add contactless tracking to your hardware.
