This board has a surface mount RGB LED for a full rainbow of colour. The built in WS2812B controller chip allows single wire control of many modules chained together. The board has pin holes spaced for breadboard use.

The WS2812B controller chip that is inside the LED allows any colour to be produced using commands over a single wire. Lots of the modules can be chained together and controlled to form multi colour display all running from one pin on a microcontroller.
The addressable modules can be controlled individually all from the one wire. See the hookup guide has details for how, including Arduino code to do it.
