Description

The Qwiic Tsunami Super WAV Trigger is more than just a soundboard; it is a professional-grade audio engine designed for makers. Built on a powerful and reliable ARM Cortex-M7, this board delivers an astounding 32 mono or 18 stereo simultaneous tracks! Whether you are building a complex escape room puzzle, an interactive museum exhibit, or a responsive cosplay prop, the Tsunami delivers uncompressed 44.1kHz, 16-bit audio with the ability to start, pause, loop, and mix tracks independently.

8-Channel Surround Sound

It cannot be understated that the biggest feature of the Tsunami is its eight audio output channels. Depending on your firmware selection, these can be configured as eight mono outputs or four stereo pairs, enabling an immersive audio experience.

  • Surround Capability: The "Synced Set" trigger function can start up to eight mono tracks on adjacent outputs in perfect sample-sync. This allows you to playback true 5.1 or 7.1 surround sound content with a single trigger.
  • Dynamic Routing: Any track can be dynamically routed to any output in real-time. Each output supports independent volume and sample-rate conversion (pitch bend), giving you total control over the mix.

MIDI & Qwiic Control

The Tsunami Super WAV Trigger has been designed for easy integration into any setup. It features a dedicated MIDI port with an integrated opto-isolator, making it easy to connect to any MIDI controller to adjust volume, pitch bend, attack/release, and routing. For microcontroller users, the board includes a Qwiic connector, allowing you to control all functions via I2C without soldering.

Voltage & microSD Information: To ensure your WAV Trigger performs in the way it's supposed to, please keep the following in mind. First and most important, this device operates at 3.3V, and connecting 5V signals will damage the board. The inputs, including triggers and serial RX, are NOT 5V tolerant. Connecting 5V signals will damage the board. Second, your microSD card must be formatted with a 32Kb allocation unit size. Incorrect formatting will cause erratic playback or crashes.
