The SPK-6E is a high-performance, tri-band helical antenna designed for applications where every gram counts. Weighing just 18.1 grams, this antenna is engineered specifically for portable devices, aerial platforms, and other applications where component weight needs to be kept to a minimum. Despite its small size, it supports the full L1/L2/L5 frequency bands across GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, and BeiDou constellations, making it an excellent companion for modern multi-band GNSS receivers.
Unlike heavy ceramic patch antennae or large surveying pucks, the SPK-6E uses a helical design. This form factor offers an excellent balance of size and omni-directional reception, which is crucial for devices that constantly change orientation—whether that is a drone in flight or a handheld tracker in the field. It features a standard SMA connector and includes a compressible o-ring at the base, ensuring a weather-tight seal when mounted against an enclosure.
This antenna is a passive element designed to receive L1, L2, and L5 signals.
Please be aware that while this antenna will work with a simple L1-only receiver, it will not turn a $20 receiver into a $200 RTK-capable one. To get the full benefit, you will need to pair it with a receiver capable of L1/L2 or L1/L2/L5 reception.
