SparkFun Micro OLED Breakout (Qwiic)

This Qwiic-enabled 0.66-inch blue-on-black OLED screen can display graphics and sensor diagnostics without a serial monitor, complex soldering, or difficult hardware integration.

Description

Add crisp, clear visual feedback to your hardware without relying on a bulky screen or a computer's serial monitor. The SparkFun Qwiic Micro OLED Breakout packs a highly legible 64x48-pixel monochrome display into a tiny 0.66-inch-diagonal frame. Displaying vibrant blue-on-black graphics, this screen is an excellent choice for reading out sensor data, debugging code, or creating a miniature user interface in space-constrained projects.

Seamless I2C Integration

Wiring up a display should never be the hardest part of your build. By utilising the solderless Qwiic Connect System, this breakout plugs directly into your I2C bus in seconds. Don't worry, we've still broken out standard 0.1-inch spaced pins for users integrating the display into a custom enclosure or breadboard!

To make physical integration just as easy as the wiring, the board features several clever hardware additions:

  • Smart Cable Management: A convenient Qwiic cable holder is built into a detachable tab. If you need to minimise the board's footprint for a tight enclosure. Additionally, this tab can be cleanly snapped off along a v-scored edge.
  • Configurable I2C: The back of the board includes jumpers to easily disable the built-in pull-up resistors or change the default 0x3D I2C address to 0x3C.
  • Simple Mounting: Two dedicated mounting holes are included to secure the display to your custom panels or 3D printed cases.

Just keep in mind that since this screen communicates over I2C, running more than two of these displays on a single bus will require a dedicated multiplexer, such as the Qwiic Mux Breakout. Whether you are building a wearable device or a compact weather station, this micro display delivers incredible clarity in a fraction of the space.
