Compact high-power DC gearmotors combine a brushed motor with a metal spur gearbox for reliable drive in robotics, mobile platforms, actuators, conveyor mechanisms and embedded automation. Their narrow cylindrical format suits projects where mounting space is limited, while different reduction ratios provide a practical balance between output speed and torque.
Options with integrated quadrature encoders support closed-loop speed, position and distance control, improving repeatability in moving systems. Non-encoder versions offer simpler wiring and control, while separate motor and encoder assemblies can support servicing or compatible gearbox configurations. D-shaped output shafts provide positive mechanical coupling with suitable wheels, hubs and couplers. The 24 V design is well suited to higher-power systems using motor drivers and appropriately rated power supplies.
