Headers

Headers form the electrical and mechanical link between PCBs and external modules, sensors, shields and cables. They are used in prototyping, modular builds, accessory stacking and compact board-to-board links for microcontroller and single-board computer projects. Key capabilities include reliable contact retention, consistent standard pin spacing for compatibility, and options for straightforward soldering or surface-mount integration.

Available forms include single and double row, male and female, right-angle and straight, extended and tall variants. Variations cover through-hole and surface-mount, stackable types for layered add-ons, machined round pins for better mating, break-away strips for custom lengths, and kits that include hardware for raised mounts and clearance.
