Audio sensing modules provide a straightforward way to capture or detect sound for robotics, automation and embedded projects. They typically combine an electret microphone with on‑board amplification, delivering an analogue voltage that reflects sound pressure as well as optional digital signals that indicate the presence of audio or a threshold‑crossing event. This dual‑output approach lets a microcontroller read raw amplitude for analysis or use a simple binary flag for trigger‑based logic.
