The GridEYE from Panasonic is a 8 by 8 thermopile array. This means you have an array of 64 pixels each capable of detecting temperature remotely. It’s like having thermal camera (or Predator’s vision ) just in really low resolution.

It’s like having thermal camera (or Predator’s vision) just in really low resolution. The SparkX Grid-EYE Qwiic carrier board utilizes the high performance, high gain 3.3V AMG88 sensor. Do not hook 5V to this beast! Better yet, use the Qwiic system - it makes it much easier and quicker to get started.
The SparkX carrier board incorporates all the needed passive components as well as a jumper to change the I2C address and a jumper to remove the pull up resistors if needed.
