Standoffs

Standoffs lift and secure circuit boards and panels, provide spacing between components, and allow stacked assemblies or insulated mounting inside enclosures. They are useful for prototypes, small robots, sensor stacks and any layout where firm, repeatable separation is needed.

Materials range from insulating nylon to aluminium and steel, offering tradeoffs in electrical isolation, strength, weight and corrosion resistance. Styles include hex and round bodies, male/female or through‑tapped threads, and imperial or metric thread standards. Key attributes are mechanical reliability, thread compatibility, easy wrench access for hex variants, stackability and common packaging formats that affect ordering and inventory. Matching fasteners are typically required.
