Individually addressable LED modules combine RGB emitters with a tiny controller so each pixel can be set independently. They are used for dynamic lighting, interactive displays, wearable effects, signage, status indicators and robotic visual feedback where per-pixel control and synchronised animations matter.
Products vary by package and interface. Options include SMD and through-hole packages, diffused or clear lenses, right-angle parts and light pipes, strips and rings, reels for volume production, and sealed weatherproof strips. Control methods range from single-wire protocols to SPI-like interfaces, with differences in PWM frequency, brightness, and on-board constant‑current drivers that affect performance and ease of integration.
