Motor drivers convert logic-level commands into bidirectional, high-current outputs for brushed DC motors, enabling speed, direction and simple braking in robot drivetrains, mobile bases, actuators and automation projects.
Available as compact carrier boards or discrete MOSFET H‑bridges, products vary by operating voltage range, continuous and peak current capability, channel count, logic-level compatibility and PWM frequency support. Some include current-sense outputs, thermal protection and diagnostic flags for closed-loop or protected operation. Key trade-offs are power handling and cooling, footprint and ease of wiring. Higher-current modules and ultrasonic PWM support simplify integration for heavier motors, while small dual drivers suit multi-wheel or paired-motor layouts.
