Made from strong 3mm sheet aluminium the 3 degree of freedom robotic arm from Dagu with a gripper is a great way to manipulate things with a robot.

The arm comes is partly assembled and needs some assembly of the two larger brackets although the gripper assembly is fully assembled.
To get the arm going we recommend the following parts:
Pololu Maestro Servo Controller. Also available in larger versions, this controller is excellent quality with a very good PC based program for controlling the servos. The maestro provides excellent control over servo movement speed, acceleration and position. The PC control program allows for recording scripted movements for the arm.
Battery Holder: 4 x AA NiMh batteries (~5V total) is recommended to drive the servos.
