Description

Sounds detected by the electret microphone are very low energy. The amplifier on the board increases the voltage produced so that an analog to digital converter ADC on a microcontroller will be able to detect the levels. The board works from 2.7 to 5.5 volts so it is suitable for most microcontrollers.

The board is best used to detect sounds like clapping, knocking, voices or dogs barking.
