Data Loggers

Data loggers are compact, self-contained recorders that capture time-stamped sensor streams for later analysis. They are suited to robotics test rigs, field trials, automation prototypes, and teaching labs where hardware runs without a connected computer and data must be preserved. Typical payloads include motion and orientation, position from GNSS, and environmental readings, plus simple serial data from other devices.

Core capabilities focus on storage, interfaces, and ease of integration. Local storage on removable media supports larger data sets, while serial, I2C, or SPI connections let them work with common microcontroller ecosystems. Some offer no-code or auto-detection logging, and outputs are often CSV for straightforward analysis. Reliability, low power, and robust data handling are the practical differentiators for embedded projects and field deployments.
