Maxbotix LV-MaxSonar-EZ3 Ultrasonic Range Finder (Sonar)

The LV-MaxSonar-EZ3 packs a lot of features into its very small package. Capable of detecting objects touching the transducer through to long range detection at 6.45m (254") with a resolution of 2.45cm (1") and with virtually no dead zone like some other sensors.

Low power consumption at 2.5V-5.5V @ 2mA means this little sensor will not drain your batteries and because the sensor takes care of processing the ranging information to provide a distance reading it will not hog a microcontroller processor.

Three separate output interfaces of pulse width, analog voltage and serial digital are available simultaneously making this a very versatile sensor.

There's even two mounting holes on the PCB to attach this sensor.
